A companion tool for Split! Bring back the old-school fun of custom news skins, inspired by the days when CuteNews made it incredibly easy to create unique blog layouts across the small web.
Added Skinner
- Easily customize the blog post layout of your WordPress theme
- Lets you apply a news skin, for example one of ours, to your WordPress blog, without having to write the code
Updated Split
- Since this started as a simple code splitter and evolved into a WordPress generator, I slightly updated the initial design
- Instead of info-dumping everything in a text wall (sorry for that), you can find all important information in collapsible sections now

Some additions for the 'Add WordPress Support' feature

wp_body_open()to improve compatibility with plugins that insert code right after the opening body tag (e.g. cookie notice banner plugins, google adsense and more) - Added
load_theme_textdomain()to make generated themes fully translatable with plugins like Loco Translate - Added a simple top comment in all files, so it's clearer what they're for and how to translate strings

Some fixes for the 'Add WordPress Support' feature
Updated Split
- Improved overall asset detection; this has been tested with lots of designs, even some from ancient times (2006+)
- Tries to find and recommend individual files that aren't in a folder as well now
- Handles rewriting asset paths for WordPress better now
- Additionally to a custom logo, widgets and menus, you can also set the wrapper for the site name and tagline now (which you can set in the WordPress Customizer)
- Fixed a bug where files were detected as duplicates based on the filename; now considers if it's just the same name or if the files are in different folders

- Improved the labels and UX, so everything's a bit less overwhelming
- Improved rules to detect assets and HTML elements more reliably
- It's now possible to paste the HTML from clipboard instead of uploading it
- Instead of just splitting your design, you can actually turn it into a WordPress starter theme now!
- Optional WordPress features include custom logos, widgets and menus
- There's a 7 minute guide video now, going through all of the features

- Gave the tools subdomain a design refresh (I am so tired of the generic card design that's everywhere lately. Somehow AI managed to make me hate my beloved, simple border radius)

Updated Button Designer
- Added a rotation slider in the position section
- You can now upload custom decoration images — they're stored in your browser until you delete them!
- Improved how outlines are drawn for freeform assets to get cleaner results
- The glow animation can be used on assets and paint layers now
- The tilt animation can be used on freeform assets now (pixel decorations are excluded because tilt would look bad there)
- Instead of capping at max. 600 frames, it tries to find a perfect loop within ~800 frames now (only when you're adding way too many animations, don't worry!)

- Quite experimental, so bug reports are welcome! ♥ Worked on this for quite some time, but it's really difficult to find bugs on your own when there are so many possible variations and settings!

Updated Pattern Designer
- Finally refreshed the design — added a dark mode and re-arranged all elements
- Added selection mode toggle — disable it to move layers based on your Layers panel selection instead of the topmost item
- The canvas now starts with a small example scene (cloud) instead of being empty
- You can now scroll in input fields to increase and decrease values
- When changing the canvas size, you can now press Enter to confirm
- "Bring Forward" and "Send Backward" now move layers one step at a time
- When you decrease canvas opacity, you actually see a checkerboard pattern now

- Added over 200 fonts
- Custom fonts you upload will now be saved
- Completely rebuilt the fonts selection field — fonts can be added to favorites, live previews when you hover
- Added border radius slider for the panel image
- Added tilt slider to rotate the text
- Added a separate tab for gradient backgrounds with Start and End color pickers
- Added a simpler alignment menu and vertical offset slider
- Fixed the automatic dark mode
- Improved the sidebar layout and modernized all sliders and value fields
- Refined canvas rendering and improved text effect rendering (Outline and Shadow now has Opacity)

Updated Icon Designer
- Fixed a bug where "New Project" sometimes took two clicks to work (auto-save was fighting with the reset, oops.)
- Added safety checks to prevent similar save file bugs (fingers crossed)
- Smaller UI tweaks here and there (moved some buttons so it's more intuitive)
- Optimized ZIP export — a lot faster and less power hungry now (stress tested it with 1350 icons on my phone and nothing crashed!)
- Improved icon library filtering
